Audiologist
As an audiologist who specializes in tinnitus treatment and management, I have always enjoyed working with tinnitus patients, and I love being able to utilize telemedicine as an innovative and unique way to reach tinnitus patients all over the country.
At Auburn University, I first earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders, then went on to acquire my Doctor of Audiology degree. I am a licensed audiologist with certification in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association as well as a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Prior to joining the TTS team, I gained valuable experience working in university, ENT, and VA clinics where I developed a passion for helping tinnitus patients.
In my spare time, I love to travel and enjoy the outdoors with my husband, daughter, and two dogs. I am also an avid equestrian and love to ride horses!

Jeff Carroll, Ph.D.
Clinical Director
I have spent a decade treating tinnitus patients and enjoy innovating novel treatment approaches, learning about new technology and treatments, and staying abreast of current research.
I have worked in the tinnitus field for the last 10 years as a researcher, clinician and engineer. I was the founding Director of the Tinnitus Treatment Center at the University of California, Irvine, and have worked with nearly a thousand tinnitus patients. I have a doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine with research in cochlear implants and tinnitus and I am one of the inventors of the S-Tone® technology for tinnitus treatment in the SoundCure® Serenade®. I have trained hundreds of audiologists and hearing healthcare professionals in tinnitus evaluation and treatment. I have given invited presentations both domestically and abroad. Mostly, I love the one on one interaction that treating a patient offers and seeing success with someone who has been told they just have to live with their condition.
I love spending time with my wife and two kids and participating in running and obstacle course racing events. I also homebrew craft beer with my dad when I can find the time.

Tommy Staggs
Tinnitus & Hearing Consultant Director
My goal each day is to make a difference in someone else's life.
I began my career in 2002 at one of the very first direct-to-patient hearing healthcare companies. As a pioneer in counseling and consulting with patients over the phone and internet, I have witnessed the amazing benefits of direct-to-patient hearing healthcare. Today, being the Director of Tinnitus and Hearing Consultants gives me the unique opportunity to connect with our patients with full understanding of what it takes to guide them into the most appropriate treatment option. I have worked with thousands of local clinics across the fifty states and for over a decade have successfully helped thousands of tinnitus and hearing loss patients find the relief they were looking for. The most amazing reward is knowing that in some way I have helped improve both my patients' quality of life, as well as the quality of life of those around them.
I am the proud husband of an amazing wife and a father of two wonderful children. I enjoy spending time outdoors camping and fishing and I am a huge college football and NFL fan.

Tinnitus Support Audiologist UK
I have worked for leading manufacturers of hearing aids, tinnitus devices and hearing testing equipment for more than 20 years. For most of this time, my focus has been on working with or delivering new technologies to market which have benefitted both hearing care professionals and patients alike. It's a great pleasure being involved in everything new in the hearing aid and tinnitus industry.
My training includes certification as an NHS trained hearing aid audiologist and in my spare time I run the Tinnitus Support Group in my home city. I was invited to join a tinnitus medical device manufacturer about 5 years ago to deliver the customised tinnitus treatment to the UK market and I thoroughly enjoy my work with tinnitus. After initially helping UK audiologists improve their tinnitus knowledge, I then switched to having more direct one to one contact with tinnitus patients. This is professionally very rewarding as I am able to help tinnitus patients to gain a greater understanding of their condition, manage their symptoms more effectively over time and ultimately improve their well-being.
Away from work, I enjoy paddle boarding with my wife, spear fishing, playing golf and travelling when time allows.
