Lead singer Heather King was invited to MAC Cosmetics’ Chicago location recently for a free make-up session with a MAC Stylist! See Heathers Makeup tips here.

In early December, Caleb and I headed up to MAC Cosmetics on Oak Street in Chicago for a makeover session with makeup artist Thomas McEntee. Going into this, I felt like I had a pretty good understanding of how to apply makeup and which colors I should wear, but Thomas showed me a few new tricks that I've been using ever since.

We started with an overall moisturizer for my skin, and then Thomas spritzed my face with MAC's Studio Moisture Fix. It's a spring water-based primer for skin that helps makeup glide on easier. I was surprised how fresh my face felt after he applied it! After the Moisture Fix dried, Thomas chose a great foundation color that evened out my skin tone.

While all this fun pampering was going on, poor Caleb was stuck in a corner having to watch me get "spritzed." He was really patient about it though and thought that everything was looking good so far.

Time for some color. Thomas gave me a daytime look on one half of my face and an evening look on the other half. Needless to say, I looked pretty lopsided ... more...

The Total Temple Makeover
By Dr. Gregory Jantz

While the world reels with an ever-growing array of lose-weight-quick schemes, Dr. Gregory Jantz applies common sense and spiritual encouragement to lead readers on a reasonable, realistic path to healthier living.

Unlike the radical and even dangerous tactics that often captivate those who hunger for dramatic change, Jantz advocates a gentle twelve-week program, which considers the whole person, not just body weight.

This comprehensive approach incorporates scripture study, prayer, and journaling, as well as nutrition, food-consumption plans, and body maintenance with the intention of reshaping a person's self-image in addition to dropping inches in the waistline.
