Parachute Band

With the
international success of their albums You Alone, Always and Forever,
Love & Adore and Amazing and the release of their latest
album Glorious, the Parachute Band is changing the face of worship
music around the planet.
Only four years after their debut release the band is already
well known worldwide and songs from the albums are being used
in churches all over the globe.
When the Parachute Band plays live, the audience has an open
invitation to join in and find that place of intimacy with God.
The band has a mix of drum loops, strong vocals and groove-based
arrangements which put them in a unique spot - somewhere between
a stadium rock concert and a church worship meeting.
Worship leader and lead vocalist for the band, Libby Huirua
comments: "This is not a band in the normal sense - we are
a group of friends who love music and love leading people in
worship. The bottom line for us is building the church, drawing
people closer to Christ and 'resourcing' churches with fresh
songs - it is so humbling to be used by God in this way.
"Worship is totally not about us and what we can get
out of it. We too often judge the worship experience by how we
feel at the end of it. That's the wrong focus. Worship, first
and foremost is about God, and about Him feeling loved, adored
and honored. This is what we want to do when we play live.
"Our heart is that people would meet with God in a worship
time and that change would be affected in their lives. I love
to see people responding to God in that atmosphere of worship,
and seeing them open up to Him and His touch on their lives is
like watching a miracle take place before you. It's an amazing
thing to be involved in."

Reviews:
This is the best Christian band you've never heard of. Well,
you don't think you have, but if you listen to Christian radio,
you have. "Salvation" is all over Christian radio.
"Amazing", the title song, is my favorite. There's
just not a bad song on the whole cd. This is the best example
of praise and worship music you can buy right now. For adults
with teens, it's a great album you and the teens can both agree
on. If you've seen the band as I have at First West (West Monroe,
La.) it's a must have.
